Course Information


Course Description:

This course will give you a clear view on the benefits of good teamwork within an organisation. Teamwork will reduce inefficiency and increase work ethics and commitment to team goals. 



Course Objectives:

This course aims to provide indivials and teams with tools and tips & tricks on how to achieve excellent teamwork. 



Learning objectives:

After completion of this course:


- You know how to be creative as an individual but also within a team

- You know how to communicate within a team and with other teams

- You are able to have effective team meetings

- You know how to develop and introduce team values, mission and visions

- You are able to motivate team members to set clear and realistic team goals

- You have the skills to solve problems and make dicisions with your team members



Regulatory requirement compliance:

There are no regulatory requirements related to Team training. This course could be considered as part of a Human Factors continuation training. 




There are no prerequisites for this course.

Course Duration:

The course programme shall consist of three days and starts at 9.00 till 16.00. Additional breaks may be taken as needed. The course programme will be as follows:

Hardware/Software requirements and Browser information


Hardware requirements:

We recommend to bring a laptop or tablet with WiFi connection. During the course, we will visit several websites and at the end of the course you complete an online questionnaire.


Software requirements:

No additional software requirements are applicable.


Browser information:

A reliable computer or tablet with Wifi internet connection and internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox) are required.



Instructor information


Instructor credentials:

Danny Goergen has over 10 years of experience in the aviation industry. After several years working as an aircraft mechanic, he graduated as Bachelor in Aviation Engineering and started as a process engineer in an EASA Part 145 approved component repair shop. Here he became the Human Factors trainer, after he completed the Human Factors train the trainer course at Trinity College in Dublin. He designed a complete Human Factors training program that is trained since 2009. He also received several years of Structured Team Training and Process Improvement sessions, that were in line with Human Factors requirements. 

Together with his team, he achieved great team performances and process improvements, resulting in significant cost reduction and profit increase.

Assessment and Grading


Testing procedure:

Students will not receive an examination.


Grading procedure:

In order to receive a Certificate of Course Completion, the student needs to attend the full course.



Assignments and Participation


Assignments and Projects:

In this course, team related exercises and workshops will be performed by the participants.


Class Participation:

Students must participate in all interactive aspects of the course. Students are expected to communicate with instructor as a learning resource and actively participate in discussions.



Course Ground Rules


Participation is required, expected to communicate with other students in team projects, learn how to navigate in the learning environment system, keep abreast of course announcements, use the student e-mail address opposed to a personal e-mail address. Address technical problems immediately and observe course netiquette at all times. 



Communication guidelines



  • Always include a subject line.
  • Select your wordings in the e-mail carefully. Use of emoticons can help to include the correct emotion in the message.
  • Use standard fonts
  • Do not send large attachments
  • Special formatting such as centring, audio messaging, tables, html, etc. should be avoided as much as possible.
  • Respect the privacy of other students or class members


Discussion Groups:

  • Review the discussion threads thoroughly before entering the discussion.
  • Try to maintain threads by using the reply button, instead of starting a new topic
  • Do not make insulting or inflammatory statements to other members of the discussion group. Be respectful of other's ideas
  • Be patient and read the comments of other group members thoroughly before entering your remarks
  • Be cooperative with group leaders in completing assigned tasks
  • Be positive and constructive in group discussions
  • Respond in timely manner



  • Introduce yourself in the chat session
  • Be polite. Choose words carefully. Do not use derogatory statements.
  • Be concise in responding in the chat session
  • Be prepared to open the chat session at the schedules time
