CAT A1/A2

EASA Part 66 CAT A1/A2 Basic Examinations

A Category A1 mechanic will perform Line Maintenance activities on aircraft equipped with gas turbine engines. A Category A2 mechanic will perform Line Maintenance activities on aircraft equipped with piston engines. 

 

To be able to apply for an EASA Part-66 Category A1 or A2 rating, the following knowledge modules must be successfully passed. Depending on the different ratings different modules can be applicable.

In total 13 Multiple Choice Examinations and 4 Essay Questions are applicable for the A1 and A.2 category.

 * Module 7A, 9A and 10 have Multiple-choice and Essay examinations. Essay 1 and Essay 2 examinations for Module 7A, can be re-examined separately.

 

 

Examination Fee

€75,00 Excluding VAT per examination.

For re-examinations also a 90 days waiting time from the last examination date applies. You can have 3 attempts per module in 365 days. Then a waiting time of 1 year applies.

If you are in need for module examinations on a specific date and/or time, you need to pre-register yourself (for free) in order to participate in our EASA Part 66 Examinations. We will contact you and discuss the proposed examination dates. We will then create your Examination Candidate account, that allows you to register for the EASA Part-66 examinations, planned on the agreed dates and time, held in our examination facility in Hoofddorp.

Buy your CAT A1/A2 Training E-books online

You can buy a subscription to the training E-books for a period of 6 months. After that a renewal fee of 30% of the initial price will be charged, if you choose to continue the subscription.

Being subscribed to an E-book allows you to download the E-books and all relevant new releases.
